International Introduction of Lahnsteiner Brewery
The origins of brewing in the city of Lahnstein date back to the year 1324. In this period, the city was founded and the first brews were made - sadly we don't know details about the people and places of brewing back then.
What we know is that in 1667, Jakob Fohr got his brewing rights. He was an ancestor of the current owner Dr. Markus Fohr who now leads the brewery in the 10th generation. These brewing rights have been passed on directly from father to son – and since 2002 three possible brewers are growing up in the 11th generation.
Even today Lahnsteiner Brewery is a family business with ten employees and a rich production of 50 beers: traditional beers, modern craftbeers and our historical beers, brewed with recipes from the middle ages. We also offer a variety of delicious specialties like beer spirit, beer liqueur, single malt whisky made of beer wort, beer vinegar, beer mustard and many more. All of these can be acquired in our store at our Brewery in Lahnstein or through our Onlineshop.
Alternatively our special salespartners in Germany and in the surrounding countries sell our products.
But the best way to get to know us is to:
